When We All Stayed At Home is the wonderful new book from photographer Katrina Campbell, featuring doorstep portraits of fellow north Londoners during the COVID-19 lockdowns of 2020. The book is a striking record of a truly diverse set of people – individuals, couples, families – all experiencing lockdown in their own ways. Katrina also interviewed her subjects, and the combination of the candid interviews and brilliant photographs creates a rich, honest, heartfelt, and at times deeply emotional record of a unique moment in our collective history. The area is Palmers Green, Enfield and surrounding areas but the real accounts of this time resonate with people all over the world who had to face similar circumstances, whether enjoying the simplicity of this time, or coping with the hardships it brought.
